LB Adel Dress (verbal review)

Hi everyone!

I'll just be doing this review verbally as I plan to take the dress to the tailor before wearing it. I'm a usual LB size M (ptp 16.5", waist 13.5") but sized up to L as I saw the measurements ran big this time (ptp for L was 16.5"). However, I would advise anyone who plans to hunt down this dress (as it's sold out on LB's site) against sizing up, as this dress was really too big for me!

I think the issue is the way it's sewn because the inner layer is basically a flared tube dress (albeit one of a very smooth, scuba-like material), to which the outer printed layer (very soft chiffon, lovely to the touch!) is attached only at the waist and back (via the zip). Hence, the part above the bust is not attached at all, and kept slipping down whenever I put it on (not to mention, before you zip it up, it actually hangs down so it looks like you're not wearing anything at all, which took a little getting used to).

Sizing up's the only issue I have for this. Other than that, I really love the print and the materials used, not to mention the unique design. Hence, do stick to your usual size if you intend to hunt this down! :)

Hi! You might want to measure the ptp to check if LB had indicated wrong measurements? It seems to me that LB always have measurements like this, I've also made several purchases where i sized up due to their measurements and in the end it is extremely loose. Hence I measured and found that the measurements don't correspond to what is given on their website. I've feedback many times but am high disappointed. And i notice that these days they don't even indicate if the item has any stretch, as you mention the material is scuba-like, i believe if they state the ptp to be 15.5" to 17.5" (due to stretch), you won't have sized up and won't have to go through spending on tailor.

Nonetheless, thank u for the sharing about the sizing! Would stick to my usual size when i'm hunting it down to avoid another disappointed purchase!

Hello! Thanks for the heads-up! :) I've just measured my piece, it's 16.5" ptp laid flat, but stretchable to 18". Perhaps it seems looser because the material doesn't have much grip, so it's better to be tighter in this case than snug? And that's true, most other blogshops provide the full range of stretch the material can accommodate. I hope LB implements this system of measurement soon :(
